TraineeshipsThe Australian Careers Business College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and offers competency-based, nationally accredited courses/traineeships. Traineeships are basically workplace based training programs, usually combining on-the-job training with off-the-job school or college based study. Some traineeships can be delivered entirely on the job i.e. Office Administration, with the help of a training plan and with assessments by a qualified Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Traineeships are nationally recognised. When a trainee successfully completes the traineeship, they receive a nationally recognised Certificate of Proficiency and a Statement of subjects completed from the Registered Training Organisation attended. Certification is issued as proof that the trainee is competent in the skills required in a particular industry and can be utilised at a later time to:
A trainee enters into a formal training contract (Indenture) with his/her employer for the duration of the traineeship. The employer of a trainee must meet the cost of any training relevant to a trainee’s supervision and the cost of acquiring and demonstrating the appropriate level of understanding and competence in the required skills, values and practice areas. Traineeships are one of the best ways to get job training and qualifications and are highly regarded by business and industry as trainees quickly develop practical skills to make a positive contribution to their employer's productivity. Traineeships are government funded under the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 (PDF, 984 KB) and are administered by the Department of Employment and Training.
