Does ACBC recognise prior learning?Recognition of Prior learning is a formal acknowledgment of skills/knowledge/competencies you may have already obtained through previous training or study and work experience. Successful RPL may reduce the time and fees associated with obtaining a qualification at our colleges as you will not have to repeat a subject in which you have already achieved competency. Are ACBC qualifications nationally recognised?The Australia Careers Business College is registered by NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) to train, assess and issue nationally recognised qualifications for all of our courses. How do I apply for a course and what is the enrolment process?Applicants are selected provided they meet the necessary qualifications/course requirements. You can apply online, complete an application form and post it to us or contact the campus you would like to study at. You will then be invited to inspect the College facilities and participate in an interview for which we ask you to bring a copy of prior school/tertiary education or work history documents. What is the timetable like at ACBC?Our college year is divided into four 10 week terms, with one week holiday in between for Child care and two weeks holidays in between for our Business courses. Your timetable will depend on your decision to study full or part time. Will I need to buy any text books?Text books are additional to your course fees. Our course design and practical applications minimises the need to purchase lots of text books, many readings and course notes are supplied. This however, is dependent on the course of study you choose to pursue. If you have an enquiry about a specific course, please contact us online and one of our Careers Advisors will help you with further information. Can I gain work experience while studying?Absolutely! That is one of the key benefits of choosing to study with ACBC. All of our full time students are offered an optional one day per week program so you develop practical skills and qualifications that extend beyond classroom learning, ensuring you become actively prepared for future employment. What financial assistance is available to me whilst studying at ACBC?Depending on your individual situation and the course you elect to study, several options are available to you as a student of an Australian Careers Business College (ACBC). ACBC is an approved provider under the VET FEE-HELP loan scheme. Under VET FEE-HELP you can a obtain a loan to pay for all or part of your tuition fees when undertaking a VET accredited Diploma or an Advanced Diploma course at our colleges.
