Paralegal Studies

I attended the Australian Careers Business College where I studied Paralegal Services. I found the environment very inviting and professional. The modules that were studied over the year gave me a broad understanding of the Legal System in Australia and in particular, New South Wales. I was able to further my studies by gaining entry into the University of Western Sydney where I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Law. The Business and Computer classes enabled me to be competitive in my field as I was able to gain various computer skills, a typing speed of over 50wpm with 99% accuracy as well as an understanding of the administrative aspects of a Legal Firm and other office environments of the like. I found the teachers very approachable and willing to assist myself and other students in any areas where we required assistance. The work experience program was very beneficial in that it enabled me to put into practice the theory we learned in class, hence, landing me a legal position with one of the most prestigious law firms in Sydney. I would certainly recommend this college to any one who wants to excel their career.

Business Administration

I completed my Diploma of Business Administration in 2005 at the Australian Careers Business College. I then worked as an Administration Assistant for a small chartered accounting firm called Farrar & Company, in which I was able to put into practice much of the theory I learned at college. I am now the office manager at Big Fish Global Consulting Group, which is a growing company in the recruitment industry. I also have plans for further study at university. I would like to complete a Degree in Marketing.

Marketing Management

The Marketing Diploma course at the Australian Careers Business College is second to none. The syllabus and program has been designed carefully to integrate theoretical knowledge alongside vocational experience which is an exceptional mix in the real world, the course really provides the building blocks for students to get their foot into the marketing field with sound knowledge.

Graduating from the Diploma of Marketing at the end of 2002, has elevated my opportunities to do a number of things in my career. It helped me gain access into university into a Bachelors Marketing Degree in 2003, and gain a national marketing coordinator role with Kennards Hire - working on strategic market planning as well as media planning and advertising/promotions. The material covered at ACBC is always back of mind and used as a reference point, in my work and even now in my postgraduate studies. I am undertaking my MBA and still use my marketing notes from ACBC as reference tools to help alongside my masters program.

Truly a well rounded superior course with staff members that have now become very close friends. My respect for the college and the program has encouraged me to take on board ACBC work experience students at Kennards Hire in support of their program.

Information Technology

I attended the Australian Careers Business College and obtained an IT Network Engineering Diploma. using this certification and with my career objectives I obtained an I.T Helpdesk Role within one of Australia's Largest Financial Institutions. Through hard work I have progressed quickly through the organisation to now Manage an IT Helpdesk Team.

I feel without completing the Diploma I would not have progressed to this level in such a short time frame. Before attending the college I completed the High School Certificate and with no background in I.T enrolled in an IT Diploma. The facilities, work experience and mentioning built my knowledge and gave me the confidence to use my skills. I currently use these same skills in day to day work tasks. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in I.T and has the determination and career focus to reach their goals.

Travel

In 2006 I attended Australian Careers Business College at the Parramatta campus where I successfully graduated with a Diploma in Travel and Tourism. One day a week ACBC gave me the opportunity to complete a work experience program at Air Mauritius which enabled me to implement all I had learnt. It also opened the door for me to take advantage of an opening position working as a sales agent with Air Mauritius. The things that I learnt at ACBC and the experience I gained through work placement was invaluable. I wouldn't be facing a fulfilling and successful career without the knowledge that I gained at the Australian Careers Business College. The staff were friendly and the friendships I made will last me a lifetime.

Accounting

After graduating from the Advanced Diploma of Accounting at the Australian Careers Business College, I was offered a full time position as an Assistant Accountant with my host work experience employer. The work experience program which I attended one day a week gave me the opportunity to gain hands on experience which assisted with my studies in the classroom. I would strongly recommend this course as a sound building block to anyone looking for a successful future in accounting industry.

ChildCare

I was a student in the Diploma of Children's Services at the Australian Careers Business College in 2006. I studied for one year and gained a qualification which enabled me to become a qualified worker in my chosen field.

Throughout the year I attended various child care centres whereby I completed my required practicums. This practical experience gained me a full time position at Kids World Kindy at Guildford as a Room Leader.

Thanks to ACBC I have gained credit entry into University where I am currently studying Early Childhood. I think ACBC is the best college and would strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a career in ChildCare.
